Meet Sophie
Hi, my name is Sophie van Dongen. I live in Oud-Beijerland.
Since May 1, 2022 I have been working as a Junior Planner at the ss Rotterdam! Here, at the ss Rotterdam, I really feel heard. It is a organization with many possibilities. Soon I will start working as a Party Manager. This will be a combi function, because I don't want to let go of me working as a planner
What does hospitality mean to you?
Send the guest out the door with a smile. In my opinion, everything can be arranged, for a guest I will do everything in my power to do so. That is also hospitality for me at another restaurant. I want to feel welcome, no matter what.
How would your colleagues describe you?
Smiley, friendly and knows what she is doing. But there's certainly still plenty to learn ;) And I'm only too happy to do that!
What is your favorite place in the hotel?
The Bar of course, enjoying the cocktails.
What makes your working day a perfect/successful day?
Have fun with colleagues and to complete my to do list that is marked yellow from the highlighter, that gives me satisfaction.
What other WestCord Hotel inspires you?
Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam. Nice location, nice atmosphere. Lots of green and light, that always puts a smile on my face.
