Bartender

Full-time job as a bar associate in a unique location, includes board and lodging!

Attention bartenders and women. You are going to make a career at one of the nicest restaurants on Vlieland!
 
In this versatile job you will be the face behind the bar at several attractive locations: at De ZeeVaert (our bar & pizzeria), Het Praathuys and De Wadden. You make sure that our guests feel welcome everywhere - whether they come for dinner, for a drink or a party during live music.
 
Your workday starts with pouring drinks for dining guests. As soon as the food is finished, you dim the lights and turn up the music: the drinks evening has begun! You advise guests on our extensive drink menu, from Island specialty beers to surprising Gin & Tonics.
 
On Saturday evening the party really gets going at De ZeeVaert. Then there is live music by the Vlieland troubadour Sjoerd - an attraction for tourists and islanders alike. It's crowded, the beer flies over the bar, and you keep a smile on your face while the whole place sings along.
 
Also at Het Praathuys and De Wadden you are ready with hospitality and flair. You sense what a company needs: a pleasant chat or just peace and quiet. With your enthusiasm, service and knowledge of people, you know how to give every guest a warm and special stay.

  • The hospitality industry is not unfamiliar to you: you have work experience in a similar position or you want to learn the tricks of the trade!
  • We work within the hotel as a team, cooperation and communication are very important to you!

Working on Vlieland

On Vlieland we have two hotels and a beach pavilion. Our family business once started with Hotel de Wadden in the Dorpsstraat, Strandhotel Seeduyn is located on the beach and there you will also find the only large beach pavilion on the island, namely 't Badhuys. Vlieland is a tourist island with great white beaches and a cozy village, with the necessary pubs. In the summer it is called Vliebiza, in the winter it is mainly a place to enjoy the us-custom-us coziness with your colleagues. Vlieland also has beautiful nature.

We offer you a competitive hourly wage.

  • From 16 years €10.74*
  • From 17 years €12,04*
  • From 18 years €13,76*
  • From 19 years €15,48*
  • From 20 years €17,21*

*Including holiday pay and vacation days, excluding tips.
