And all this at Hotel de Wadden, a characteristic and historic hotel in the middle of Vlieland. Since 1968, the hotel has been the very first hotel from which WestCord Hotels originated. The chain now has 15 hotels in the Netherlands, but the personal, warm, and authentic atmosphere of yesteryear can still be felt here.
The building that houses Hotel de Wadden has a rich history: it used to be the local maritime academy. Nowadays, we welcome hotel guests who are looking for peace, atmosphere, and hospitality. Our three F&B outlets play a central role in this.
  • Eetcafé 't Praethuys - A warm and cozy eatery where you can pull up a stool at the bar or sit down at a reading table. Here, it's all about accessible hospitality, good conversation, and a tasty beer or dish of the day.
  • Brasserie de Wadden - For lovers of classic French cuisine. Stylish and culinary, but without the fuss. Guests enjoy refined dishes, good wines, and a relaxed atmosphere.
  • ZeeVaert Bar & Pizzeria - The place to be for fresh pizzas, Italian classics, and Mediterranean snacks. A lively setting where young and old feel at home, from families to couples who linger.

As Restaurant Manager, you switch effortlessly between these three hospitality concepts and ensure that every team member knows what needs to be done. You actively participate on the restaurant floor, but behind the scenes you also ensure that the schedules are correct, the administration is in order, and the restaurant's processes continue to improve.

New ideas? We welcome them! You contribute ideas about the menu, service, budget, and guest experience. You are only satisfied when everything runs just a little better than yesterday.
