Sous Chef
Are you a passionate (junior) sous chef and ready for the next step in your career? Do you like an informal work environment?
Within Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam, the sous chef leads the team in the absence of Chef Rendy. You will lead the team, create schedules, place orders, and prepare dishes. Additionally, as a sous chef, you possess a creative side, actively contributing to the development of new menus and staying up-to-date on all food trends. You maintain an overview and, at the same time, work dynamically, assisting the team where needed.
The F&B department of Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam consists of banquet halls, Bakerij Westers, the Malabar and Café Jakarta, all surrounded by a unique subtropical garden. Under the lead by our chef Rendy, who was raised in Indonesia, we offer an Indonesian menu with a Dutch twist. In our kitchen, various cultures come together, making each day unique; every shift is new culinary adventure at Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam.
What makes you the perfect Sous Chef?
- Leadership experience in the kitchen;
- Full-time, flexible availability spread over four or five days;
- Preferance for Dutch and Enlgish speakers;
- Residing in or near Amsterdam!
